Karin Corfee is a senior energy and sustainability professional with over 30 years of experience assisting Fortune 500 and private companies to develop or implement clean energy strategies. She is the founder and CEO of KC Strategies LLC, a business consultancy firm specializing in climate and sustainability services. Karin’s career reflects a demonstrated track record of successfully managing large teams in the consulting industry, including profit and loss responsibility, executing M&As and integrations, establishing governance protocols, inclusion and diversity activities, mentoring, and leading large transformation initiatives. Karin has in-depth experience in the utility sector; areas of expertise include strategic planning, renewable energy, distributed energy resources, sustainability, and ESG.

Before founding her own company, Karin served as a Partner at Guidehouse (formerly Navigant), a management consulting firm. There she provided leadership for their Energy, Infrastructure, and Sustainability team. Additionally, Karin facilitated their internal ESG initiative to secure corporate commitment to establish science-based targets, renewable energy to offset 100% of electricity usage across all global offices, reporting in line with the Global Reporting Initiative, and completing total CDP responses for multiple years. All of this culminated in Guidehouse publishing their inaugural ESG Report in 2021.

Karin has also served as a Vice President at KEMA, now DNV, where she focused on providing renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate strategy, and greenhouse gas mitigation services.
