Hammad Ahmad

Hammad Ahmad has a strong background in DevOps engineering and AWS infrastructure management. Hammad most recently worked at Climedo as a Senior DevOps Engineer, starting in March 2021. Prior to that, they held a DevOps Engineer position at Climedo from April 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Climedo, Hammad worked at Embrace-it Pakistan as an AWS Engineer from April 2020 to April 2021. Hammad was responsible for PKI's and secrets management using Hashicorp Vault, as well as utilizing Hashicorp Consul for K/V store and service discovery. Hammad also used IAAC (Terraform/Terragrunt) to provision infrastructure.

Hammad's experience also includes working as a DevOps Engineer at Emumba from August 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they managed EC2 instances with custom imported AMI and created bash scripts to clean up AWS resources and reduce costs. Hammad also performed audits on AWS accounts to ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks.

Prior to Emumba, Hammad worked as a DevOps Engineer at Graana from October 2018 to July 2019. Their responsibilities included creating automated backups, deploying highly available and failover systems, and monitoring day-to-day issues using DataDog and New Relic. Hammad also worked as an AWS DevOps Engineer on a contract basis from April 2018 to September 2018, where they focused on automation, troubleshooting production issues, and managing AWS infrastructure.

Hammad gained experience as an Intern (Data Engineer) at Data Intelligence Hub from August 2017 to October 2017. During this time, they worked on configuring big data tools and deploying clusters for tools like Spark and Kafka.

Hammad's earliest work experience was as a Research Engineer at Rosail-Robotic Sensing and Ambient Intelligence Lab from June 2016 to July 2017. Here, they gained knowledge in administering big data tools for production environments.

Hammad Ahmad obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Punjab College of Science II Gujranwala from 2010 to 2012 and completed a degree in FSC PRE-MED with a focus on Medical studies.

In addition to their formal education, Hammad Ahmad has also obtained several certifications. Hammad completed the HDP Overview: Apache Hadoop Essentials course offered by Hortonworks in August 2018. In April 2019, they became an AWS Certified Developer - Associate through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Hammad also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2018.

Furthermore, Hammad Ahmad has pursued additional certifications and courses related to cloud computing, big data, data analysis, and Python programming. These include certifications and courses from Pluralsight, Linux Academy, and DataCamp.
