David Taylor

David Taylor is currently the Engineering Manager at ClinCapture. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Manager System Engineering at Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation from January 2014 to January 2021. There, they were responsible for managing the User Interface team and leading enterprise-wide projects. David coordinated collaboration between UI team, information architecture, web design, back-end services, and the ESB teams. Additionally, they supervised and managed six application developers on software engineering project deployments and provided technical mentorship in adopting new technologies.

During their time at Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, David successfully led the migration from a legacy system to new technologies, including devising the proof of concepts, vendor selection, and integration requirements. The system was deployed seamlessly and in minimal time. David was also the project lead on a new CMS backed platform using a content-as-a-service pattern. In addition, David led the initiative to make websites more accessible via implementation of WCAG standards.

David Taylor has a Masters in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami Herbert Business School. David is certified by Microsoft in Azure Fundamentals and by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Developer – Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. David is also certified by Scrum Alliance in Certified ScrumMaster.
