VP Engineering, Isreal at Clinch

Yaron Cohen is currently the VP Engineering at Clinch in Isreal. Prior to that, they were the VP R&D at Engie from August 2015 to April 2017.

At Engie, Yaron was responsible for building the R&D department from scratch. This included recruiting developers, dev-ops and QA engineers, carrying out training and mentoring, and improving technological knowledge and understanding of overall architecture. Yaron also established agile development and release methodologies with a focus on high quality delivery and efficient team work.

As the de facto CTO (Hands On), Yaron designed and implemented Engie's technological architecture to become a highly available, distributed service based on current best practice cloud technologies. Their team built Engie's IOS, Android and web client, as well as a stack of server components using NoSql DBs, Big Data systems for batch and streaming, and some machine learning. They also built a state-of-the-art car connection and diagnostic library which monitors different car systems in real time and adapts to the different protocols and propriety components implemented by various car manufacturers.

Yaron Cohen graduated from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo with a degree in Computer Science.
