Mark Manu has a diverse range of work experience. Mark started their career as a Laboratory Assistant at Gettysburg College in 2016. Mark then went on to shadow Dr. Raymond Truex at The Reading Hospital & Medical Center Spine and Brain Neurosurgery Center, where they gained exposure to patient appointments and surgeries.

Mark also shadowed residents in the internal medicine department at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, learning to describe patient conditions and plan treatment options.

In 2017, Mark participated in a six-week shadowing internship at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, observing occupational therapists, physical therapists, and wound care nurses. Mark also assisted registered nurses and recreational therapists in patient care.

In 2018, Mark joined Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Summer Undergraduate Mentorship Program (SUMP), shadowing a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon. Mark conducted a systematic literature review paper on Alzheimer's disease among African Americans and Hispanics.

Mark worked as an Office Assistant at Gettysburg College from 2016 to 2019, handling administrative duties and managing phone inquiries. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Personal Assistant to Dr. Marlin S. Brenner, assisting with content revision and organizing scholarly articles.

Mark then worked as a Medical Scribe at CityMD Urgent Care from 2021 to 2022, performing tasks such as obtaining medical histories, taking vitals, conducting tests, and learning about treatment options.

Their most recent experience is as a Clinical Research Assistant at Clinilabs, a position they currently hold as of August 2022.

Throughout their career, Mark has been actively involved in academic enrichment programs and participated in seminars, workshops, and training related to healthcare.

Mark Manu completed their Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from Gettysburg College between 2015 and 2019. Following this, they pursued a Pre-medical Post Baccalaureate Program at The City College of New York from 2019 to 2021. Before their college education, Mark Manu attended the Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science, where they obtained their High School degree from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Conflicts of Interest, Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC), Group 4: CRC (GCP), and Group 4: CRC (HSR) from the CITI program in 2022.
