Amy Andres is the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) representative to the Ohio Health Information Partnership’s Board. As Senior Vice President of Quality and Data for the OHA, Ms. Andres currently leads the Patient Safety, Quality, Data Analytics and Information Technology divisions for the Ohio Hospital Association. As one of five founding members of the Ohio Health Information Partnership, she helped lay the groundwork to support the adoption and meaningful use of electronic health records. She continues to serve on the Executive Board, which is represented by physician associations, hospital associations, payers, large employers, health clinics, hospitals, physicians and consumer advocates. She also serves on the ePrescribing Committee with other healthcare leaders. Ms. Andres previously served as the Health Information Technology Officer for the State of Ohio by providing strategic direction and advising the Governor’s staff in Health Information Technology policy. Ms. Andres has more than 18 years of senior-level management experience in both the private and public sectors, and previously held senior level management positions in the healthcare and technology industries. Ms. Andres served as the Chief of Staff at the Ohio Department of Insurance and as the Chief Information Officer for the Ohio Department of Education. Before her tenure in public service, Ms. Andres successfully led business units as a senior leader for CVS-Procare and Allscripts.
