Cory Bates

Cory Bates has a diverse work experience that includes roles in legal customer support, assistant city attorney, associate attorney, law clerk, lead teacher, merchandise presentation lead, and sales associate.

Most recently, Cory worked as a Legal Customer Support Specialist at Clio - Cloud-Based Legal Technology starting in March 2022.

Prior to that, Cory served as an Assistant City Attorney at the City of Little Rock from March 2021 to March 2022.

From September 2018 to February 2021, Cory worked as an Associate Attorney at Tellez Law Firm PLLC. Additionally, from January 2017 to August 2018, Cory worked as a Law Clerk at the same firm.

Before pursuing a legal career, Cory worked as a Lead Teacher at Houston Independent School District from June 2012 to May 2015.

Cory also gained retail experience by working at Banana Republic. From February 2011 to May 2012, Cory served as a Merchandise Presentation Lead, and from January 2009 to February 2011, Cory worked as a Sales Associate.

Cory Bates completed their education at various institutions in Arkansas. From 2008 to 2011, they attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both German Studies and Spanish Language and Literature. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's William H. Bowen School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, in September 2018, Cory Bates became an Attorney after obtaining certification from the Supreme Court of Arkansas.
