Peer Allan

Peer Allan has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Peer began their career at the University of Manitoba in 2000, where they worked as a Programmer Analyst. During their time there, they were responsible for designing and developing the University Bookstore and creating an internal web-based quote management system. Peer also provided sales and support for Apple and Windows clone machines.

In 2001, Peer joined Cocoon Branding as a Senior Developer. Peer worked there for three years, until 2004, before moving on to CanadaDrugs.com. At CanadaDrugs.com, they held several roles, including Senior Web Developer, Development Team Lead, and Manager of Software Development. In these positions, Peer led development teams, implemented agile methodologies such as SCRUM, and coordinated the migration and switchover to a new enterprise application.

In 2014, Peer joined Shopify as a Production Engineer - Team Lead. Peer was responsible for improving the reliability, performance, security, and resiliency of the Shopify platform, with a particular focus on maintaining and securing the PCI-DSS environment. Peer worked in this role for five years before transitioning to their current position at Clio - Cloud-Based Legal Technology.

Since 2019, Peer has been working at Clio as a Staff Systems Engineer and Manager. In this role, they have been involved in software development and systems engineering, contributing to the company's cloud-based legal technology. Peer continues to use their expertise in managing and improving production systems.

Peer Allan attended the University of Manitoba from 1993 to 1999, where they pursued a 3 Year General BSc degree. During their time at the university, Peer focused on the fields of Computer Science, Chemistry, and Botany.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Peer Allan holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), which they obtained in September 2008 from the Scrum Alliance. Peer also has a certification in Foundation from ITIL, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
