Shane Smith

Shane Smith is a Senior System Engineer at Clio, specializing in cloud-based legal technology since December 2023. Previously, Shane held the position of Senior Production Engineer at Shopify from August 2019 to May 2023 and worked as a Senior Software Developer at Ribbon Communications between December 2017 and July 2019. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Software Developer at Macadamian Technologies from January 2012 to December 2017 and a role as Web Developer and Manager at the Canadian Association of Physicists from May 2007 to September 2011, where Shane focused on designing, developing, and maintaining web-based systems. Additionally, Shane served as a Teacher Assistant at Carleton University during the fall and winter terms in 2010 and 2011 and contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher, creating an open source parser generator named Simple Compiler Compiler (SiCC).
