Blake Wickham

Blake Wickham has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Blake started their career as a Loss Adjuster at GAB Robins Campbell and Williams in 1995. In 1997, they became the Industrial Relations/HR Manager at Metcash Trading Africa, where they handled industrial relations issues for 80 Metro Cash and Carry stores. From 2000 to 2002, Blake worked as a Senior Labour Consultant at NMG-Levy Consultants and Actuaries, providing consulting services in various industries.

In 2002, they joined The Bidvest Group Limited as a General Manager: Human Resources, advising and consulting on HR and IR matters for 23,000 employees nationwide. Blake then served as the Human Resources Director at Bidvest (Magnum Shield Security) from 2005 to 2007, and later at Bidvest (Bidair Services) from 2007 to 2015.

Blake'srole at Bidvest (Bidair Services) involved overseeing operations, maintaining service levels, managing General Managers, and negotiating airline contracts.

Most recently, Blake worked at Wickham & Associates as a Labour/HR Consultant since 2020, providing labour law and industrial relations consulting across various industries. Blake also served as the Head of Human Resources and Employee Relations at Clipfine Ltd starting from September 2022.

Blake Wickham obtained a Matric Certificate from Kearsney College in an unknown year, prior to 1987. Blake then attended Rhodes University from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a focus on Industrial Psychology and Law. In 1993 and 1994, they continued their studies at Rhodes University and obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) with a specialization in Law. In 1998, they attended the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) for a Program in Labour Relations. Finally, in 2001, Blake Wickham received an Admitted Advocate certification, admitting him to practice as an advocate in the High Court.
