David Cooper

David Cooper is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset-based lending and corporate financing. Currently serving as Director of Corporate Origination Asset Based Lending at Close Brothers since May 2022, David specializes in mid-market asset-based lending, providing debt facilities up to £65 million against various asset types. Previously, David held multiple director-level positions at NatWest Group from September 2013 to May 2022, including responsibilities in restructuring and portfolio management for large corporate clients across different industries. David’s early career included roles at RBSIF and Chaucer Syndicates, where skills in underwriting and risk analysis were developed. David holds a Master’s degree in Politics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from The University of Sheffield.
