Cloud-Busting was founded by Mel Archbould, former Managing Director of a second-generation family-owned engineering business.

Having spent over 17 years leading a growing SME, Mel understands first-hand the opportunities, pressures and challenges that business owners face. From growth and leadership challenges to succession planning and business sale, she has experienced many of the same decisions her clients are navigating today.

Cloud-Busting helps family businesses and ambitious SME leaders navigate growth, succession, leadership transitions and change with greater clarity and confidence.

We specialise in supporting family-owned businesses where family, ownership and business interests intersect. Through facilitation, strategic advisory support, mentoring and practical frameworks, we help clients tackle difficult conversations, prepare future leaders, strengthen governance and build businesses that thrive across generations.

Alongside our family business work, we support SME owners and leadership teams with strategic planning, MD Sounding Board support, leadership development, business performance, exit readiness and growth planning.

Our services include:

• Family Business Compass™ Reviews

• Succession Planning & Successor Development

• Family Governance & Transition Projects

• Family Business Strategic Advisory

• MD & Business Owner Sounding Board Support

• Strategic Planning & Growth Roadmaps

• Exit Readiness & Business Value Improvement

• Leadership Development & Board Facilitation

We also deliver keynote speaking, workshops and masterclasses on family business succession, founder transitions, leadership, governance and building businesses that last beyond a single generation.

At Cloud-Busting, our role is simple: to help business owners clear the fog, gain perspective and make better decisions about the future of their business.

Because when the clouds clear, the path ahead becomes much easier to see.
