Michael Vogel has over a decade of experience working as a software developer, starting with their internship at Sikom Software GmbH in 2009. Michael went on to work for companies such as Amadeus and Wildmoka before joining NL-ix as a Senior Software Developer in 2020, where they primarily worked on backend feature development using Python and Django. Their role gradually shifted towards DevOps as the company grew. In 2021, Vogel moved to Akvo as a Senior Software Developer, where they were responsible for enhancing performance, bug fixing, feature development, and development while juggling tasks as a Junior DevOps engineer and temporary sysadmin. Michael had to learn Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes from scratch. Their most recent role was at CTS as a Senior Software Developer from May 2023 onward.
Michael Vogel received a BSc in Computer Science, System Development from Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau, where they attended between 2007 and 2011. In 2009, they also spent a year studying at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, with a focus on Computer Science. In 2010, they briefly studied at the University of Technology Sydney, although their degree status is unknown.
Additionally, Michael has obtained several certifications. They include Algorithmic Trading, Advanced Cryptocurrency Trading, The Rust Programming Language, Docker Swarm Mastery, and ElasticSearch Mastery from Udemy. Michael has also received multiple certifications from Coursera, including Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Workloads and Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Foundations, and Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure. Their latest certification, as of April 2016, is in Apprentissage automatique (Machine Learning) from Coursera Course Certificates.
