Cris van Pelt has over 15 years of work experience in the tech industry. In 2005, they began as a Technical Support Engineer at Capgemini España, providing technical support services for Sun's EMEA region. In 2011, they became a Unix System Administrator at KPN, the Dutch national phone company, where they were responsible for some 300 Unix and Linux servers. In 2013, they started working as a Software Developer at ASML, where their team was responsible for maintaining the software running on the lithography machines' controller platform. Crіs also worked as a System Application Administrator at Mirabeau, where they worked on the team responsible for the OV Chipkaart website. In 2014, they became a System Application Specialist at NPO, the Dutch non-governmental organization overseeing the public broadcasting system. In the same year, they also began as a Consultant at Flusso. In 2017, they began working as a Unix System Administrator at Video Game Community, leading a team of systems administrators and developers in developing software to support a community of approximately 5,000 players of the game Eve Online. In 2021, they became a Part Owner at the Green Bay Packers. Currently, they are a Full Stack Engineer at CloudApp, developing software to enable people in the modern workplace to quickly share, edit, and collaborate files and videos.

Crіs van Pelt is currently attending Des Moines Area Community College since 2020. In 2019, they obtained a Triplebyte certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte. In 2012, they received a Linux Professional Institute Certified Level 2 from the Linux Professional Institute. In 2011, they obtained an ITIL v3 Foundation.
