Scott Smith

CEO at CloudApp

Scott Smith is the current CEO at CloudApp. Prior to that, they worked at Facebook from April 2013 to July 2016 as Business Development for Workplace by Facebook. Workplace is a private and secure version of Facebook designed for companies. Scott was responsible for bringing on the first launch partners in the Americas, which included Heineken, Hootsuite, Gap, and Canadian Tire. Facebook launched Workplace publicly in Oct 2016.

Before Facebook, Scott worked at Parse from October 2012 to February 2015 as Senior Account Executive, the first sales hire. Parse was a startup that made it easier to build mobile apps and was acquired by Facebook for $85m. Scott was responsible for selling to and managing customers that included Lululemon, Showtime, Retailmenot, the Brooklyn Nets, Hopstop, and Plenty of Fish. Scott's role included defining pricing, establishing a customer ready contract, implementing Salesforce, leading webcasts to hundreds of attendees, traveling globally to represent the brand, growing the number of apps on Parse to over 500,000 from less than 10,000 and carrying and exceeding a monthly sales quota.

Scott Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brigham Young University and a bachelors degree from Millburn High School.
