Daniel Allen

Daniel Allen has extensive work experience in engineering and software development. Daniel is currently employed at Cloudbeds as a Senior Back End Engineer since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Battelle as a Software Engineer from April 2017 to May 2022. Before that, Daniel worked at Phocos as an Electronics Engineer from March 2014 to April 2017, and also held the role of Software Engineer during that time. Daniel'searliest work experience was at The University of Arizona Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, where they served as a Research Assistant from June 2011 to May 2013. In this role, they provided engineering support for spectrometer development, including tasks such as PCB component assembly, building and testing a Debian based Beowulf cluster, machining support, pulse arc welding, and general technical and IT support.

Daniel Allen completed their education at two different universities, starting with the University of Arizona from 2010 to 2014. Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering during this time. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2020 to 2024, pursuing a Master's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Daniel also obtained a certification in "High Performance Habits (Blinkist Summary)" from LinkedIn in February 2022.
