Sandy Burns

Sandy Burns, CPA, MBA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Sandy is currently serving as the VP Finance and Controller at CloudBolt Software since May 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at CloudCheckr, including Head of Finance, Vice President Finance, and Controller from 2016 to 2022. Sandy also worked as an Adjunct Professor at St. John Fisher College from 2016 to 2017. In addition, Sandy served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Payroll Solutions at Heartland Payment Systems from 2015 to 2016. Before that, they held leadership roles at Constellation Brands as the Sr. Director Information Security and Compliance and VP, Internal Audit/Business Process from 2004 to 2015. Sandy also worked at the Rochester City School District as the Director of Financial Grant Management/ Budget Director from 2002 to 2004. Sandy started their career at Eastman Kodak, where they held various financial analyst and auditing roles from 1995 to 2002. Sandy began their professional journey as a Senior Auditor at ARTHUR ANDERSEN (Official) from 1993 to 1995.

Sandy Burns, CPA, MBA, holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Math from St. John Fisher University, which was earned between 1989 and 1993. Additionally, Sandy obtained an MBA with a focus on Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School, completing the program between 2000 and 2003. Sandy has also obtained the CPA certification from NYSSCPA - The New York State Society of CPAs. Furthermore, Sandy holds the certification of FinOps Certified Practitioner from The Linux Foundation, acquired in 2023.
