Arpit Agarwal is an accomplished director of engineering at Cloudera, leading the Distributed Storage Team focused on HDFS and Ozone since October 2012. Agarwal has held various engineering roles at Cloudera, including senior engineering manager and principal software engineer, contributing to the organization's evolution from Hortonworks through its merger in 2019. In addition to work at Cloudera, Agarwal has been a founding committer and PMC member for Apache Ozone and Apache Ratis at The Apache Software Foundation since 2013, playing a key role in developing high-performance distributed storage solutions and the RAFT consensus protocol.
