Christopher Royles

Christopher Royles is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in data solutions and analytics. Currently serving as the Field CTO for EMEA at Cloudera, Christopher has driven initiatives to make data and analytics accessible and easy for all users. Previous roles include Principal Solutions Engineer and Systems Engineer at Cloudera, where Christopher managed customer journeys and supported data management projects across various sectors, including government and cloud platforms. Prior experience also includes a Principal Sales Consultant role at Oracle and a member of the Open Data User Group within the UK government, focusing on data utility and community engagement. Christopher's technology leadership journey began at Pitney Bowes, where responsibilities spanned Chief Technology Officer and technical strategy roles. With a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and a solid educational foundation in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool, Christopher combines technical expertise with a keen understanding of commercial opportunities within the data landscape.
