Bas Westerbaan

Bas Westerbaan is an experienced research engineer focused on post-quantum cryptography, currently employed at Cloudflare since August 2021. Previous roles include positions as a cryptography engineer at PQShield and a postdoctoral researcher at Radboud University. Prior to these positions, Bas served as a cryptography engineer fellow at Cloudflare, Inc., and held research fellow and postdoc roles at University College London and Radboud University, respectively. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics and a Doctorandus degree from Radboud University. Early experience involved serving as a secretary for a student association and a student medewerker at CodeYard during the educational journey.
