Joe Abley is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology and DNS sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Cloudflare since June 2022, Joe has held various senior roles including Director and Principal Contortionist at Snake Hill Labs Inc, Principal DNS Technologist at Neustar Security Services, and Chief Technology Officer at Public Interest Registry. Prior experience includes positions at Dyn, where significant contributions were made as Principal Architect and Director of Architecture before the company was acquired by Oracle Corporation. Joe's leadership experience also encompasses roles as President and CEO of Hivecast Corporation and Director of DNS Operations at ICANN. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) and MA (Cantab) in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
