Lucas Pardue is a highly experienced software engineer and technology leader with a strong background in web protocols and media distribution systems. Currently serving as the WebTransport Working Group Co-chair and QUIC Working Group Co-Chair at the Internet Engineering Task Force, Lucas focuses on developing client-server protocols and standards for advanced transport technologies. In his role as Principal Software Engineer at Cloudflare, Lucas drives innovation in network architecture, enhancing performance and security for a variety of web services. Additionally, Lucas is a Board Member of the Cabinet Office Open Standards Board, ensuring the effective selection and implementation of open standards. Prior experience includes significant contributions to the BBC's media distribution systems and firmware development at Panduit, with a foundation built on a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Warwick.
