Sean Kim

Sean Kim is a seasoned Systems Engineer at Cloudflare since April 2024, specializing in Zero Trust Dashboard Engineering. Previously, Sean worked as a Software Engineer at Buf from November 2021 to October 2023, contributing to the redesign of the Buf Schema Registry interface using React with TypeScript and developing efficient gRPC APIs in Go with Protobuf. Prior experience includes managerial roles at Holman, where Sean led Canadian manufacturing operations, achieving significant revenue milestones, and was recognized as Employee of the Year in 2021 for outstanding cross-departmental collaboration. Sean's engineering background also features positions as an Engineering Supervisor, Sales Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer at Holman and earlier roles at organizations like the Toronto Transit Commission and The Hospital for Sick Children. Sean holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, complemented by additional education at Juno College of Technology and BrainStation.
