James Walker, CISSP

James Walker, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. James currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of CloudHesive, a cloud solutions consulting and managed services provider focused on security, reliability, availability, and scalability. In this role, they help companies reduce operating costs and increase productivity by deploying their mission-critical workloads onto the CloudHesive Fabric.

Prior to CloudHesive, James worked as the Senior Director of SaaS Operations and IT at e-Builder, a leading provider of integrated, cloud-based construction program management software. Before that, they were the Global Head of Cloud Operations and Security at Pegasystems, a company leveraging cloud computing to provide BPM and CRM software solutions.

Earlier in their career, James served as the Chief Technology Officer at Arise Virtual Solutions, Inc., where they oversaw technology strategy and operations. James also held various roles at Willow CSN, Inc., including Managing Director of Network Operations and Development.

James gained valuable experience at AT&T/MediaOne as a Manager of Information Technology and at Communication Resources Inc. as the Vice President of IT Group, where they led the startup of an IT services division. James began their career as a Network Administrator at TCI - Telecommunications, Inc. and as an Assistant LAN Administrator at Telecable, Inc.

Throughout their career, James Walker has demonstrated expertise in cloud computing, security, and technology operations, making him a highly qualified professional in the field.

James Walker, CISSP has a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS/Management from Old Dominion University, which they completed between 1988 and 1993. In 2018, they attended MIT Sloan School of Management to study Artificial Intelligence, though they did not complete a degree in this field.
