Tim O'Neal

Tim O'Neal has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Tim began their career as a Coordinator at McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems Corp. in 1984 and then served as a Manufacturing Production Engineer at the same company from 1989 to 1992. Tim later worked as a Payload Operations Engineer at McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Corp. from 1992 to 1994.

In 1996, Tim joined Lowes Companies as an Information Technology Specialist, before transitioning to Xiotech in 2000 as a Systems Engineer. At Xiotech, they represented the company's products in territory field sales, focusing on engineering and implementation requirements for end-user needs.

In 2002, Tim moved on to DYNAMIX GROUP, LLC as a Data Storage Architect, where they represented IBM storage products and covered disk and tape products, as well as emerging Windows/Intel practice. Tim then joined CNT in 2004 as a Product Specialist for the Universal Multi-protocol Director product line, responsible for field and end-user education and achieving territory quota.

From 2005 to 2014, Tim worked at Dell Compellent as a Sales Engineering Director, overseeing sales and engineering resources for Dell Storage Southeast. Tim was responsible for designing and implementing enterprise storage array architectures using leading industry technologies.

In 2014, Tim joined Tegile Systems, Inc. as an SE Director - Southeast. Tim was responsible for leading presale engineering resources and developing field engineering teams to design and implement enterprise storage array architectures using flash/hybrid technology. Tim also provided sales forecasting and opportunity reporting to executive management.

Finally, Tim's most recent role has been at Cloudian Inc since 2016, where they started as the Senior Director of Sales Engineering, Americas. Tim led a large presales engineering team and collaborated with channel partners and end-users to establish data storage policies and implement S3-based object storage solutions for private and public cloud needs. In October 2022, they transitioned to the role of Senior Director of Sales Engineering, Worldwide at Cloudian Inc.

Tim O'Neal attended Eastern Florida State College from 1978 to 1981, where they earned an AA degree in Business. Following this, they enrolled at Barry University from 1993 to 1995, completing their Bachelors of Science degree in Business and Marketing.
