Sun Ung Lee has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Sun Ung first began their career as a Senior Consultant at Accenture in November 2000, where they worked in the Strategy Division until July 2004. Following this, they joined LG Uplus in August 2004 as a General Manager, a position they held until August 2009. During their time at LG Uplus, they assumed various management positions and was responsible for LG Cloud, Contents, and Services in Russia. Sun Ung also played a crucial role in developing strategic partnerships and expansion in Russia, India, and Brazil.

In September 2009, Sun Ung Lee joined LG Electronics as a Director and Head of the Cloud Team. Sun Ung was instrumental in creating the LG Cloud and oversaw its successful launch in the Korean, American, and Russian markets. Their tenure at LG Electronics lasted until March 2013.

In addition to LG Electronics, Sun Ung Lee also founded and served as the CEO of Cloudike_kr and the Chairman of Cloudike. Sun Ung established Cloudike_kr in July 2013 and Cloudike in March 2013. Currently, they are a Board Member at NovaKid, starting from June 2019.

Sun Ung Lee attended TAEJON SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL from 1989 to 1991. Sun Ung then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from 1991 to 1995. Afterward, they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution from 1995 to 1997. Sun continued their education at Imperial College London, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1997 to 2000. In 2016, they attended a Design Thinking course at Stanford University's d.school.
