Matthew Sharkey

Matthew Sharkey has a diverse work experience. Matthew started their career in 2018 as a Laboratory Assistant at Specsavers, where they worked as a summer assistant measuring and marking lenses to be cut and glazed, as well as working on the shop floor meeting and greeting customers. In 2019, they worked as an Accounts Assistant at TenPro. In 2020, they worked as a Technical Analyst at CloudKubed, supporting a short-term engagement by reviewing, analysing, and testing for accessibility issues across Public Health England web services. Matthew also researched for known issues, captured data within Excel spreadsheets, and measured the data against WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) specifications. In 2020, they also began studying at Oxford Business College. Currently, they are studying at Buckinghamshire New University, where they are pursuing a BA (Hons) Business Management degree with a Foundation Year. The course has shaped their research skills, employability, and management skills.

Matthew Sharkey began their educational journey in 2013 when they attended The Henry Box School until 2018. Matthew then continued their studies at Oxford Business College from 2020 to 2024, where they completed a Business Management degree in the field of Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 2020, they also began a BA (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year at Buckinghamshire New University, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
