Samir Karnik

Samir Karnik has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the IT and cybersecurity industry.

Samir is currently working as the Regional Vice President (India & SAARC) at CloudSEK since 2022.

Prior to this, they worked as the Country Manager at TAC Security in 2021.

From 2019 to 2020, Samir worked as the Regional Director at Cyberbit, where they managed the India-West & South regions and focused on key enterprise customers in the BFSI, IT/ITES, and Manufacturing sectors. Samir was responsible for building a strong business by hiring and coaching their team and defining Go-to-Market strategies for different verticals.

Before joining Cyberbit, Samir served as the Director - BFSI at McAfee from 2013 to 2019. In this role, they led strategic sales management, business development, and consulting-led sales across the BFSI vertical in India. Samir successfully led exponential growth in the BFSI sector, making it the largest vertical for three consecutive years.

From 2010 to 2013, Samir worked as the Business Development Manager - Banking & Financial Services at Cisco. Samir directly managed critical BFSI accounts and was involved in strategic projects that transformed the Indian Payments Industry.

Prior to Cisco, Samir held the position of Enterprise Sales Manager - BFSI at Symantec from 2007 to 2010.

At Wipro Infotech Ltd from 2004 to 2007, Samir worked as a Large Account Manager. Samir achieved exponential growth in business from key accounts by changing engagement models from transactional to strategic.

Before joining Wipro, Samir held various roles at Ontrack Solutions as a Branch Manager, at ORG Informatics as an Area Sales Manager, and at Computing Frontiers as a Senior Sales Manager.

Samir has a strong track record of success in building and managing teams, driving business growth, and transforming engagement models in the IT and cybersecurity industry.

Samir Karnik attended the KBP College of Engineering and Polytechnic from 1990 to 1994. During their years at the institution, no degree or field of study is specified. In addition to their formal education, Samir obtained certifications in "Leadership in the 21st Century" and "Managing and Motivating Talent" from Wharton Online in August 2020.
