Matt Wheatley

Matt Wheatley has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Matt began their career at ExxonMobil in 2002 as a Finance Lead for Projects. In 2004, they moved to Roffe Swayne now Azets UK, where they served as a Lead Advisory, M&A and Chartered Accountant. In 2007, they joined Grant Thornton UK LLP as a Lead Advisory, M&A. In 2009, they joined Direct Energy as Vice President, where they were responsible for Centrica, Direct Energy (NRG), and British Gas. In 2018, they became the CRO, Energy Procurement & Advisory at Albireo Energy. In 2021, they joined Artmatcher as a Board Member and Veritrove as Founder, where they drove insights and unlocked value from ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), sustainability and responsibility initiatives across the value chain. In 2022, they joined Cloudshadow as COO & President.

Matt Wheatley completed their Business Studies. BA Hons at the University of Plymouth. Matt then obtained their Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAEW. In 2018, they completed the Oxford Fintech Certification at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Matt is currently enrolled in the Leading Sustainable Corporations Certification at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, expected to complete in 2022.
