Max Thomas

Max Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Max is currently working as a Principal Cloud Architect at Cloudsoft Corporation, where they assist customers in migrating to and improving in the AWS Cloud. Max'sresponsibilities include providing guidance and hands-on support for migration programs, well-architected framework reviews, security reviews, cost optimization, and other AWS-related projects. Prior to this, Max worked at Money Dashboard, initially serving as the Chief Data Officer, where they built the entire data environment to support over 1 billion banking transactions and 500k users. Max later transitioned to the role of an AWS Solutions Architect, focusing on delivering architectural solutions and AWS best practices within the company. Before their time at Money Dashboard, Max worked at EITAS as a Director, and at Accenture as a Business Intelligence Consultant. Max began their career at Keane, starting as a Developer and progressing to Software Engineering roles in both the UK and the US.

Max Thomas graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the Oracle 9i Certified Professional Database Administrator (DBA) from Oracle in 2004, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2016, the FinOps Certified Practitioner from the FinOps Foundation in April 2022, and they are currently pursuing the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification from Amazon Web Services, which they are expected to obtain in November 2022.
