Chitra Balakrishna

Chitra Balakrishna, Ph.D. MBCS, SFHEA, CEH, is a professor of cyber security and the Deputy Head of the School of Computing and Communications at the Open University. With over 24 years of experience in academia and industry, Chitra has led initiatives to enhance digital skills through the government-funded Institute of Coding project and has published over 40 academic works. Currently serving on the Board of Trustees for both the UK Cyber Security Council and We-Together, Chitra is dedicated to advancing cyber security education and professionalization. Chitra holds a PhD in Mobile Telecommunications from the University of South Wales and has authored a notable book on 'IP Multimedia Subsystem'.
