Clara Mancini

Professor of Animal-Computer Interaction

Clara Mancini is a Full Professor of Animal-Computer Interaction and the head of the Animal-Computer Interaction (ACI) Laboratory at The Open University. Clara's research focuses on expanding interaction design beyond human species, aiming to explore the interplay between animals and technology in naturalistic contexts, as well as developing user-centered methods that allow animals to contribute to the design process. Committed to promoting the potential benefits of this emerging discipline, Clara supervises doctoral students and chairs a module on Interaction Design and User Experience. Clara holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Humanities from the University of Pisa, a Master's degree in Multimedia from ANICA, and a PhD in Knowledge Media from The Open University.
