Elke StJohn

Elke StJohn is an experienced educator and consultant specializing in German and English business communication, translation studies, and online pedagogy. Currently serving as an Associate Lecturer at The Open University since January 2004, Elke contributes to the MA in Translation Studies, facilitates MOOCs, and designs assessments. Additionally, since January 2012, Elke has been a Teacher Trainer and German Online Tutor at the Goethe Institut, developing educational materials for language learners. Past positions include Lecturer and Certified Examiner of German at The University of Manchester and Lecturer and Tutor at the University of Sheffield. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Teaching in Higher Education from The University of Sheffield, a Diplom Übersetzerin from the University of Cologne, an MA in Open and Distance Education from The Open University, and a Certificate in Teaching Translation from the University of Granada.
