Filippo Boni

Filippo Boni is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Studies at The Open University, focusing on the intersection of international relations and area studies. Their research encompasses the politics of Chinese investments in Europe and South Asia, the use of strategic partnerships in diplomacy, and the bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, particularly regarding the Belt and Road Initiative. Filippo also serves as an Editor for the journal Regional and Federal Studies and has over a decade of teaching experience across various institutions. They were previously a Teaching Fellow at the University of Birmingham and have contributed as a PhD candidate at The University of Nottingham.
