Gemma Maldar

Gemma Maldar is the Head of Research and Enterprise at The Open University, where they have led the Research and Enterprise Office since 2017. Previously, Gemma held several roles at The Open University, including Senior Officer for Research Support and Senior Manager for Research Development, focusing on EU funding and developing research workshops. Gemma also worked at the Natural History Museum as Senior Grants Liaison Officer, managing externally funded grants and leading the SYNTHESYS EU project, and at the University of York as European Research Projects Manager. They earned an MSc in Marine Biology from Heriot-Watt University between 1997 and 2003.
