Jo Trueman

Jo Trueman is the Director of Strategy, Planning and Resources (People Services) at The Open University, a role they began in 2024. Prior to this, they served as Head of Strategic Planning at the same institution from 2021 to 2024, where they played a key role in the development of the university's strategy and managed institutional performance reporting. Jo's extensive background includes leadership positions at Milton Keynes Council, overseeing strategic planning and housing initiatives, and earlier roles in youth offending and substance misuse services. They hold a degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Teesside, along with additional qualifications in public health and Lean Six Sigma.
