Lijing Shi has extensive experience in language teaching and academic supervision within higher education. From January 2008 to August 2012, Lijing served as an ESOL Lecturer at Milton Keynes College. Since September 2012, Lijing has held multiple roles at the London School of Economics, currently as an Assistant Language Co-ordinator and MOOC Course Mediator, focusing on Mandarin language courses and intercultural communication. Additionally, Lijing has acted as an External PhD Supervisor at The Open University, providing guidance in online language teaching pedagogy, and has held external examiner positions at University of Exeter and Bristol University. Lijing also contributes to The British Chinese Language Teaching Society as Vice Chair and Chairperson, promoting Chinese language education in the UK.
