Marion Bowman

Marion Bowman is a Professor Emerita of Vernacular Religion in the Department of Religious Studies at The Open University, where they served as a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department from 2000 to 2023. Prior to this role, Marion was a Lecturer at Bath Spa University from 1990 to 2000. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anthropology from The University of Glamorgan and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Religious Studies with Anthropology from the University of Lancaster. Marion is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Folklore at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
