Michel Wermelinger

Michel Wermelinger is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Computing with a focus on software evolution and maintenance, software quality, software architecture, and computing education. They served as the Academic Lead for Generative AI in Learning, Teaching and Assessment at The Open University and held various leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Department and Academic Reviewer for multiple institutions. With a PhD in Computer Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Michel has contributed significantly to projects such as the Institute of Coding and has been recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
