Tom Power

Tom Power is a Professor of Education, Pedagogy, and Development with a rich background in enhancing teachers' professional learning through educational technology and pedagogy. They have made substantial contributions to improving teaching and learning in marginalized lower-income communities, leading significant projects such as the EdTech-Hub-funded Community Help for Inclusive Learning and Development (CHILD) research initiative. As a Senior Lecturer at The Open University since 2000, Tom has received numerous accolades, including the Times Higher Education Award for International Impact and the PIEoneer Award for Progressive Education Delivery. Currently recognized as a principal fellow of the higher education academy, they continue to influence educational practices both in the UK and internationally. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Sussex, obtained in 1989.
