At Clown Doctors Australia our purpose is to enhance wellbeing through the uplifting power of humour.

We work in hospitals and aged care facilities around Australia. We believe we can improve care at every level through imagination, creative play and moments of authentic human connection.

In children’s hospitals, our Clown Doctors make space for courage, resilience and hope. Our Laughter Care program engages aged care residents and older people in hospital, rekindling identity, building connections, and bringing joy to the care experience.

We are a valuable contributor to a compassionate, well-functioning health system. With our help people are more receptive to care and clinical care procedures are more efficient. In fact, our impact echoes long after our exit.
What we do is grounded in science and delivered with heart; we are serious about our silliness because we know that laughter isn’t a distraction from care, it is a vital part of it.

Working in partnership with medical and healthcare professionals, we aim to create a future where people don’t fear hospital visits or ageing alone.
