Alex Yu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. In 1999, they began their career as a Lead Engineer at Motorola Mobility before transitioning to Merrill Lynch in 2007. At Merrill Lynch, they played a crucial role in integrating their Counterparty Credit Risk management systems and executing the migration of Fixed Income and Repos products into the bank-wide Credit Risk system. Additionally, they managed the development of Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management Securities Lending and Structured Lending products. In 2010, they joined Bank of America as a Vice President, where they implemented a risk application and oversaw projects to enhance interest rate and FX models, as well as re-engineered counterparty credit risk data management and control processes. Following this, Alex joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2014, holding the role of Vice President until 2018. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Application Project Management at CLS Group.
Alex Yu completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance, General at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, Alex earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science, Binghamton University.
