Matthew Verry

Matthew Verry has a diverse work experience that spans over several roles and companies. Matthew started their career at Exchange Clearing House, where they worked as a Clerk from September 1997 to May 1999.

In 1999, Matthew joined CLS Group, where they held various positions. Matthew started as an Operations Analyst from May 1999 to January 2000, where they built process maps and reviewed integration test scripts. Matthew then served as a Business Process Tester from January 2000 to June 2001, dividing their time between the CLS Test Team and the IBM System Integration Test Team. In this role, they performed and monitored testing and reported the results to the CLS test manager.

In July 2001, Matthew became a Senior Operations Specialist, where they continued to review procedures, execute test scripts, and raise defects. Matthew then took on the role of a Static Data Manager from October 2001 to December 2002, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of static data across business systems and providing support to operations.

From January 2003 to August 2007, Matthew worked as an Operations Strategist, analyzing the impact of changes to the core system and managing their implementation in the operations department. This involved preparing detailed plans, coordinating with other departments and external parties, and ensuring operational changes were in place for implementation.

In September 2007, Matthew took on the role of Project Manager, analyzing system changes executed by IBM and managing individual changes through to implementation. Matthew also coordinated the cutover of the CLS2 application into live service and managed the implementation of SWIFT RMA and SWIFT TDA 3.

From October 2011 to the present, Matthew has been working as a Senior Systems Analyst, acting as the technical lead on development projects within CLS. Matthew works with the development team to define technical solutions for business requirements.

Matthew Verry attended Dartford Grammar School from 1987 to 1994. Matthew then went on to study Accounting, Finance, and Law at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bsc (Econ) Hons degree.
