Ruby Lee has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Ruby began their career in 1979 as an Operations Manager at US-AID before transitioning to a role as a Communications Coordinator/Community Liaison at the State of Minnesota-Chicano Latino Affairs Council in 1981. In 1991, they became a Marketing and Community Strategist at Saint Paul Pioneer Press. Then, in 1997, Ruby became a Program Officer at The Saint Paul Foundation, where they managed grantmaking portfolios. In 2006, they joined the Northwest Area Foundation as the Director of Programs, overseeing poverty reduction and asset-building initiatives across multiple communities. Most recently, Ruby served as the President of CLUES, where they led the agency's mission and strategic direction in health and family services, economic vitality, educational achievement, and cultural and civic engagement.
Ruby Lee graduated from Metro State University in 1992 with a double major in Public Relations and Communications. Their field of study focused on Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.
