Integration Engineer 3 at CLX Engineering

Tim Ellington has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tim started their career at Pizza Hut as a Shift Manager from April 2000 to February 2005. Following that, they worked as a Draftsman at Youmans Drafting and Design from March 2004 to February 2005. Tim then transitioned to the role of Balloon Artist at Restaurant Entertainment Services from February 2005 to September 2006. Subsequently, they became the Warehouse Manager at Lake Court Medical Supplies from February 2006 to July 2010.

In 2010, Tim joined Florida Chemical Company as an Engineering Special Projects role. In this position, they were responsible for design work using AutoCAD, including storage tanks, pipe racks, piping supports, and parts for distillation towers. Tim also collaborated with maintenance and outside contractors to implement facility improvements. Tim worked at Florida Chemical Company until December 2013.

After leaving Florida Chemical Company, Tim worked as a Structural Designer at MaxPak from December 2013 to January 2015. During this period, they designed structures using their expertise in the field.

In January 2015, Tim joined CLX Engineering as an Integration Engineer II. Tim was involved in designing, implementing, and programming automated control systems for various industries. This included hardware design of control systems, building control cabinets, and commissioning control systems. Tim also had experience programming in various PLC platforms including Allen Bradley and Siemens. Tim worked at CLX Engineering until April 2022, initially as an Integration Engineer II and later as an Integration Engineer 3.

Between October 2020 to August 2021, Tim briefly worked at PREMIER System Integrators as an Integration Engineer.

Overall, Tim Ellington has significant experience as an Integration Engineer, with expertise in design, implementation, and programming of automated control systems. Tim also has diverse experience in management, drafting, and design roles in various industries.

Tim Ellington obtained an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology from Polk State College, which they attended from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Graphic Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology-Tampa, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, Tim has also obtained several certifications, including PLC Programming Level 1 from PMMI: The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies in May 2013, Certified Quality Improvement Associate from ASQ in December 2012, and Certified Production Technician from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council in October 2013.
