Jurjen Engwerda

Jurjen Engwerda has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and sports management. Jurjen is currently working as a Senior Account Manager Sport at CM.com, where they focus on improving customer experience through software solutions. Prior to this, Jurjen worked at AFC Ajax as a Partnerships & Brand Marketing Manager, leading marketing campaigns and managing partnerships with various commercial partners. Jurjen also gained experience as an Account Executive at PRISM - Public Relations & International Sports Marketing. Additionally, Jurjen completed a Young Lion Traineeship at WPP Trefpunt-PRISM. Jurjen has worked with notable companies like HEINEKEN and Marketing Associatie Amsterdam, where they held positions related to marketing and branding. Earlier in their career, Jurjen served as a Marketing Project Manager at Trefpunt-PRISM, coordinating and implementing soccer tournaments. Jurjen also created and managed social media marketing for WorldEye at Worldsport.

Jurjen Engwerda has a diverse education history. Jurjen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sports Studies from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, which they earned from 2007 to 2011. Jurjen then pursued a Minor in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations at Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, completing it from 2010 to 2011.

In 2012, Jurjen Engwerda enrolled at the University of Groningen for a Pre-MSc program in Business Studies, which they completed in 2013. Jurjen then continued their studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2014, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Jurjen Engwerda has obtained several certifications. In July 2023, they completed various ethics certifications, including Ethics: Bribery and Corruption, Ethics: Conflict of interest, Ethics: Fraud, Ethics: Gifts and Entertainment, Ethics: Money Mule, and The Road to Compliance: Ethics, all at CM Academy. Jurjen also completed The Basics of Mobile Service Cloud certification at CM Academy during the same period.
