Marco Schroot has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Marco started their career as a Software Developer at CGI in 1991, where they designed and developed simulation software for the Oil and gas industry. Marco then moved on to become a Logica Service Center Manager in the Energy&Utility Market.

In 2014, Marco joined CM.com as a Program Manager and Account Director, responsible for expanding CM's business in the Finance & Government market. Marco also worked as a Project Director Dutch Grand Prix in 2022, acting as the main point of contact for CM.com services during the Dutch Grand Prix.
In 2016, they joined CM Payments as a Program Project Manager, focusing on expanding CM's business in the Payment area as a certified Payment Service Provider.

Marco Schroot attended MTS Leyweg from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Electronics. Following this, they pursued a degree in Technische Computerkunde at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 1986 to 1989, earning an engineering degree (ing) in the field.
