Éric Desfonds

Éric Desfonds is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the Microelectronics Group at CMC Electronics since October 2024 and serving as a member of the Board of Advisors for Nüvü Caméras Inc. since June 2022. In addition, Éric Desfonds mentors at Academos and previously held the position of Director of Product Management at LASER COMPONENTS, overseeing product line managers and achieving key performance objectives. With a robust background at Excelitas Technologies as a Senior Product Line Manager specializing in defense and aerospace, Éric Desfonds brings expertise in technical support and project management. Additional roles include contributions as an advisory board member for Insight Photonic Solutions and Optonique, along with significant positions at Cyrium Technologies, MetroPhotonics, and the Communications Research Centre. Éric Desfonds holds advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and a specialized program in engineering management from Université de Sherbrooke.
