Fred Seamon

Fred Seamon is the Executive Director in Agricultural Markets at CME Group, where they manage a team of economists focused on researching commodity markets. They investigate the feasibility of new futures contracts and develop trading terms and conditions for these products. Fred's previous roles include serving as a Senior Economist and Senior Director at CME Group, as well as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming, with research interests in futures trading and commodity marketing. Fred earned a PhD in Applied Economics from Clemson University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
