Tim Smith

Tim Smith is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in client development and sales across leading financial institutions. Currently serving as Managing Director at CME Group since February 2018, Tim focuses on client development and sales in Asia. Previous roles include Director at Deutsche Bank from August 2011 to February 2017, where Tim headed Hong Kong Listed Derivatives & Markets Clearing, and Associate Director at Macquarie Group from January 2003 to August 2011. Tim holds a Master’s Degree in Business Finance from the University of Technology Sydney, a Certificate in Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia, and completed a program in Data Analysis for Management at The London School of Economics. Additionally, Tim has contributed to various leadership roles, including positions on the Board of Directors for Deutsche Securities Asia Limited and co-chairing the dbFamilies initiative within the Hong Kong Inclusion & Diversity Committee.
